Refresh (2007-2008)
Every year Devon has the opportunity to review and "refresh" its LAA to ensure that the outcomes are still those most important for Devon and that the targets are the most appropriate. Devon submitted its 2007-2008 refresh to Government on 15 January 2007.
The 2007-2008 Refresh includes minor amendments to existing outcomes and targets as well as complete revisions of both the Stronger, and Healthier, Communities outcomes. In addition, the LAA has been amended in the latest refresh to reflect the following mandatory outcomes (and their related targets) that are required by central government:
- Reduce Crime
- Reduce the harm caused by illegal drugs
- Build Respect in communities and reduce anti-social behaviour
- Reassure the public, reducing the fear of crime
- Empower local people to have a greater choice and influence over local decision making and a greater role in public service delivery.
- Improve health and reduce health inequalities
- Improved quality of life for people in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods; service providers more responsive to neighbourhood needs; and improved service delivery
- Reduce waste to landfill and increase recycling
For more information, please see the full 2007-2008 Refresh document.
LAAs are three year agreements and, as such, Devon is due to revise its LAA for 2008-2011. The revision will be built on current LAA priorities, the new Sustainable Community Strategy for Devon and Government requirements.
